HQAL Update

I have had so much fun working on my Grandmother’s Flower Garden!  I love the easy rhythm and relaxation of hand sewing the pieces together.  This is where I was last time:img_3850

In three weeks I was able to:img_4021

Finish the purple flower and:img_4022

Cut all the pieces and start sewing the blue one.  I am a purple person – I love the color purple, but this blue flower is so appealing to me!

I am really enjoying the colors and patterns on these two fabrics!!  My goal for next time is to finish this blue flower and make a red one.  Let’s see if I can get it done!

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

  1. This seems like a perfect project for you Connie. Small enough to take along, and nice chinks that give you a sense of accomplishment too. Happy sewing!
