HQAL Update and Slow Stitch Sunday

Finally, the first of the pieced hexis are done!  Last time I was here:img_4447

I had three pieced with three more to do.  Now all three are pieced and …img_4615

And I think I’m going to do this dark blue as the back ground.  It will be fun to see how these look when they are incorporated into the quilt.  I love this Hand-Quilt-A-Long because it keeps me working on this project.  Without it, I might have already set it aside for something else and I’d really like to finish!  Details below if you’d like to join our great group of stitchers!

Hand Quilt Along Links

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

  1. OH! These are really cute hexies … I’m trying to think if I’ve ever seen them put together like this! Very fun — enjoy your slow stitching today! 🙂

  2. Great colors in this batch of hexies, and that dark blue really makes them shine! I’m with Connie, this QAL helps me keep at my project!

  3. I like your hexagons. What size are they – that is a lot of work fussy cutting! Very pretty!

  4. So pretty! Isn’t this group wonderful for keeping one on track!

    • Thank you! Yes, I love that this group keeps me not only on track but so inspired. Each and every person in the group is such a talented stitcher and I love visiting their blogs to see what they are up to now.

  5. Looking good. Love that blue background!

  6. I am happy to see you are doing EPP Connie:). I think I will join you in that technique when I am finished with the Salem Quilt Guild:)❤️❤️

    • This is my first experience into EPP and I am totally loving it! I am finding it very soothing and moving back and forth from choosing fabric, to cutting, to sewing are making it always interesting.

  7. I love that orange and the dark blue will make it simply glow!
