December SAL Update

I am so happy to be working on this project. It seems to be coming along nicely, I guess that’s what happens when it’s worked on regularly! Here is where I was at the last update:

SAL Update 11/20/2022

And this is where I am now:

SAL Update 12/11/2022

Since the canvas is painted, it’s pretty hard to tell what has been done.

The entire tree has been done (sans some of the ornaments), the fireplace, parts of the stockings and some of Santa.

The cat has been started and some more has been added to the presents. I might not get as much done in the next three weeks because of the holidays and family in town, but I’m still going to try to work on it most days.

The people in this group are what make this SAL so fun. We get to choose our project and then show our progress every three weeks. It’s super fun to see what everyone has been up to. If you get a chance, take a look at the others participants:

  1. You are making great progress on this stocking! I haven’t seen a design like this where the canvas is coloured… very fun!

  2. looks like you need good eyes to see where you’ve been and where you still need to go ^^

  3. Good progress – like painting with numbers only stitches instead. I’ve done a few of these – good fun and quicker than cross stitch.

  4. I can’t say I’ve tried canvas but it does seem difficult to follow the pattern because it’s printed. You are making wonderful progress however and I guess the upside is this will be finished much quicker than if it was cross stitch!!

  5. It’s coming along nicely! Does it tell you where to do half stitches vs full stitches? I noticed the full x stitches on the kitty 🙂

  6. You’re making great progress on this. I agree with you about the people in this SAL. Enjoy the your family in town and all the holiday fun!

  7. I really like the idea of the printed canvas. It saves all the counting and checking involved in using a charted design. You’ve made super progress and it’s looking brilliant!

  8. You have made a whole lot of progress on this stocking. It is very pretty.

  9. You are just flying along on this!

  10. Nothing like a hand stitched Christmas stocking! I made counted cross stitch stockings for my daughter and my nieces.

  11. Great progress! God Jul!
